How it adds up

Up to level 30 each upgrade is one step. After that, every Fire Crystal level is five segments: FC8 → FC8-1 → FC8-2 → FC8-3 → FC8-4 → FC9. The first four usually cost the same; the last one costs about half the Fire Crystal but double the Refined Fire Crystal. The game only ever shows you the segment you're about to start, which is why the real total is so easy to underestimate.

Time = base time ÷ (1 + construction speed % + pet/other speed %), and Double Time takes 20% off when you have it. Bonus Overview doesn't list every speed buff, so the exact way is to copy the two times from your building's upgrade screen under "More buffs" — the same way FC Crazy reads them from your screenshots.
Zinman's Resourceful skill cuts Meat, Wood, Coal and Iron by its percentage, but not Fire Crystal.
SvS day 1 pays 2,000 points per Fire Crystal, 30,000 per Refined Fire Crystal and 30 per minute of construction speedup — as long as the upgrade starts on day 1.
